Looking for trailriding buddies
I am looking to meet some new horse friends that can get together and do some trail riding, camping, and potlucks. I am a horse gal but my better half isn't so I am looking for a way to meet some new friends to get together with and just have some fun. I live close to Brushy Creek and it is a wonderful place to go riding, or we can go to other places too. I have been riding horses for 20 years now, I own a TB/Appaloosa cross, and my son has a pony. I would love to get people together just so we can meet people with same interests and maybe some new friends. I know at Brushy they have day riding and 2 camp grounds that are for horses. Tons of trails, some flat some hilly, water crossings and beautiful scenery. So if you would like to meet other trailriding buddies please feel free to leave a post on my blog and we can see what happens and maybe we can get together soon. Like I said we can do day rides or we can do the camping thing or both if some want to camp they can and if some can't they don't have too, but we can have a day of riding followed by a potluck, a camp fire and new found friends.

My name is Chris Sorenson and I am from Ames. I am interested in this. I have ridden at Brushy Creek for years. Even before they put the lake in there and I absolutely love riding there. They have excellent camping grounds and great trails.

ReplyDeleteI have only rode my horse there once and my god is it beautiful. We were planning a ride for the 1st of May but weather isn't looking to promising so I am watching the weather and will keep everyone updated here.
